Luster Investor Deck

‍From Content Brief to Creative Canvas‍

When Jodi Mesa, my former colleague from Spekit, sent over Luster’s initial investor deck, it arrived as a straightforward compilation of content: headshots, product descriptions, user-results stats, and the narrative they wanted to tell. My first step was to treat this as a creative canvas rather than a slide set, framing the raw material as the foundation for a dynamic, visually engaging pitch.

Establishing a Scalable Grid & Hierarchy‍

To ensure every slide flowed seamlessly, I implemented a consistent grid system across the deck. By defining clear headline scales, body-text hierarchies, and generous white-space margins, I created a flexible framework that could adapt to different types of content, whether it was a Venn-diagram of Luster’s capabilities or team headshots. This grid became the backbone for visual consistency and guided investors effortlessly from one insight to the next.

Repurposing Static Slides into Engaging Stories‍

With structure in place, I transformed static content blocks into narrative moments. A simple list of platform use cases became a three-panel feature showcase, each panel nestled inside a gradient-frame “screen” that suggested an interactive interface. User metrics that once sat in a grid were restyled into color-coded call-out bars, drawing immediate attention to Luster’s impressive 200% expansion and 40% higher call-book rates.

Luster’s brand palette provided all the ingredients for a cohesive visual language. I redrew their charts with refined color gradations, crafted bespoke icons to represent AI Coaching and Predictive Insights, and incorporated their floating gem motifs as subtle accent graphics. The result was a suite of custom visuals that felt like native extensions of Luster’s identity, elevating each data point and feature through polished design.

Polishing Text for Consistency & Clarity‍

Though the founders owned the messaging, I applied a surgical copy-edit to ensure that every comma, em dash, and line break aligned with best practices. Uniform paragraph styles and typographic scales reinforced the visual hierarchy, while tight kerning and consistent spacing lent the deck a high-polish finish, so that nothing distracted from Luster’s core story.

The final deliverable was a seamless, on-brand investor deck that showcased Luster’s AI-driven enablement platform with clarity, professionalism, and design sophistication.
